At Fluffy Mutt, we cherish every dog that comes through our doors and are honored to care for your beloved pet. This Pet Grooming Services Agreement is between Fluffy Mutt and you, the pet owner, to ensure we provide the best possible grooming experience for your dog.

 

 

1. Our Grooming Services

We’re dedicated to pampering your dog with services like bathing, brushing, gentle hair trimming, nail care, ear cleaning, and more, all tailored to your pet’s needs. We’ll work with you to create a grooming plan that keeps your dog happy and comfortable.

 

 

2. Our Commitment to Care

Your dog’s safety and happiness are our top priority. While we pour our hearts into providing gentle, professional care, we cannot be held responsible for unexpected issues that may arise during grooming, such as:

 

Stress or minor injuries related to your dog’s age or health conditions.

Reactions caused by anxiety or nervousness during the process.

Skin sensitivity or minor nicks from carefully removing matted fur.

 

Rest assured, we’ll always use our skills and love to keep your dog as comfortable as possible. However, we’re not responsible for pre-existing conditions or reactions we couldn’t predict, as long as we’ve provided care with kindness and professionalism.

 

 

3. Understanding Your Dog’s Unique Needs

We know every mutt is special, and some may need a little extra love and care during grooming. You understand that certain situations, such as the following, can make grooming a bit more challenging.

 

Sweet Senior Mutts: Our older furry friends may have delicate health or mobility needs, which can make them more sensitive to grooming. We’ll handle them with the utmost gentleness.

 

Nervous or Anxious Mutts: Dogs with high anxiety might feel a bit overwhelmed. We’ll Do our best to keep them calm, but their stress may lead to unpredictable moments.

 

Matted Fur: Tangled or matted coats can be uncomfortable for your dog and tricky to remove. We’ll work carefully to ease any discomfort, but this process can sometimes cause temporary irritation.

 

We promise to treat your dog with patience and kindness, but grooming these special pups comes with some risks we want to be open about.

 

 

 

4. Aggressive Behavior and Liability Policy

At Fluffy Mutt, we adore every pup and are dedicated to making their grooming experience as joyful and stress-free as possible. However, we understand that some dogs may feel anxious or act unpredictable, and we want to ensure everyone — pets and people — stays safe. To support this, we kindly ask for your cooperation with the following policy regarding aggressive behavior:

 

Injury’s Caused by Aggressive Behavior: If your dog displays aggression or anxiety that results in a bite or injury to one of our team members requiring medical attention, you agree to cover all associated medical costs, including but not limited to, doctor visits, treatments, or medications. Our team is trained to handle dogs with care and patience, but unexpected reactions can happen, and this policy helps us ensure our staff us supported while they continue to love and care for your pet.

 

Damage to Property or Equipment: If your dog’s anxiety or aggressive behavior causes damage to our salon property, including grooming tubs, tables, equipmen, or other items, you agree to reimburse Fluffy Mutt for the cost of repairs or replacemen. We cherish our cozy salon space, which is designed to make every pet feel at home, and this policy allows us to maintain it for all our furry clients.

 

Disclosure of Behavior: To help us keep your dog comfortable, we ask that you inform us of any history of aggression, anxiety, or behavioral concerns before grooming begins. This allows us to tailor our approach with extra love and caution, ensuring the best experience for your puppy and our team.

 

We truely value the trust you place in us to care for your dog, and we’re committed to treating them like family. By agreeing to this policy, you’re helping us keep our salon safe and a happy place for every pet and person who walks through our doors.

 

 

 

5. Your Role In Helping Us Care For Your Dog

To help us give your mutt the best experience, we kindly ask you to:

 

-Share any health condition, behavioral quirks, or special needs your dog may have before grooming begins.

-Ensure your dog is up-to-date on vaccination, including rabies, and free from contagious condition.

-Understand that severe matting may require a shorter haircut or shaving, which might change your dog’s look temporarily but will help them feel better!

 

 

 

6. Pre-Grooming Health and Condition Disclosure

At Fluffy Mutt, we treat every pup like family, and we want to give your baby the most comfortable, personalized grooming experience possible. To do that, we need your help in sharing important details about their health and personality so we can shower them with the right kind of care.

 

Full Disclosure: You agree to provide complete and accurate information about your pet’s health, including any medical conditions (e.g., skin sensitivities, seizures), behavioral tendencies (e.g., anxiety, aggression), or special needs (e.g., mobility issues) before grooming begins. This helps us tailor our approach to keep your pet safe and happy, whether they’re a bouncy puppy or a sweet senior.

 

Undisclosed Conditions: If an undisclosed condition leads to complications, such as stress, injury, or the need for extra handling, you understand that Fluffy Mutt can not be held responsible, provided we’ve used reasonable care. Additional fees may apply for extended grooming time, which we’ll discuss with you first.

 

Health Updates: If your pet’s health or behavior changes between visits, please let us know before their next appointment. We’re here to adapt our care with love, ensuring every grooming session is a pawsitive one!

 

 

 

7. Allergy & Product Sensitivity

At Fluffy Mutt we pamper your pup with the gentlest, high-quality grooming products to make them shine! We choose products with love to ensure your pup’s spa day is pure bliss. To keep them safe and happy, we need your help in sharing any sensitivities they might have.

 

Disclosure of Sensitivities: You agree to inform us of any know allergies or sensitivities your pet may have to grooming products (e.g., shampoos, conditioners, sprays) or ingredients before their session begins. This helps us select the perfect products or use hypoallergenic options to wrap your pup in comfort.

 

Limited Liability for Reactions: While we use pet-safe, professional-grade products and take every precaution, you understand that rare reactions or skin sensitivities may occur, especially if undisclosed. Fluffy Mutt canot be held responsible for such reactions, provided we’ve used reasonable care and followed your disclosed preferences. We’ll always stop and contact you if we notice any discomfort during the grooming process.

 

Product Preferences: If you prefer specific products or have a vet-recommended option, please let us know, and we’ll do our best to accommodate (additional fees may apply for custom products).

 

 

 

8. Special Handling Fee

At Fluffy Mutt, we’re passionate about making every dog feel special and comfortable, no matter how much extra TLC they need! Some pups, like those with severe matting, extreme anxiety, or unique grooming challenges, require a little more time and care from our team. We’re happy to provide that love, and we want to share how we ensure these special sessions are pawsitivily perfect!

 

Special Handling Fee: For dogs requiring extensive grooming (e.g., severe matting beyond standard care, extreme behavioral needs), we may charge an additional fee of $20.00.

 

Potential Outcomes: You understand that grooming challenging cases may involve closer clipping or shaving to remove severe mats, which could temporarily alter your pet’s appearance but will help them feel so much better. Our team will work gently to minimize stress or irritation, keeping your pet’s happiness first.

 

Team Effort: These fees help us fairly compensate our dedicated groomers and staff, who pour their hearts into every snip and brush, ensuring your pup leaves wagging their tail.

 

 

 

9. Pet Hygiene and Condition Upon Arrival

To keep Fluffy Mutt safe, clean and a happy place for all pets, staff and clients, we kindly ask that you ensure your pup arrives in a suitable condition for grooming.

 

Clean & Healthy: You agree to bring your pet to their appointment free of fleas, ticks, excess dirt, or untreated conditions (e.g., open wounds, contagious infections). This helps us protect your pup, other pets, and our team while maintaining a hygienic salon environment.

 

Additional Cleaning or Treatment Fees: If your pet arrives with fleas, heavy soil, or other conditions requiring extra cleaning, disinfection, or specialized handling, and additional fee may apply to cover the time and resources needed. We’ll discuss this with you before proceeding.

 

 

 

10. Re-Bath Fee

We know accidents happen—somethimes those wiggles lead to a surprise pee, poop, or other oopsies! No worries, we’re here to keep your pup fresh and our salon a cozy, clean haven for all. Our re-bath fee ensures we can give your pup an extra splash of love if they need a quick clean-up, all while cherishing our amazing team’s extra efforts.

 

Re-bath for Accidents: If your pup has an accident during their spa day (like peeing, pooping or other messes), we’ll provide a gentle re-bath to keep them sparkling. This fee is based on your pup’s size: $15 for small dogs, $20 for medium dogs, and $35 for large+ dogs, per incident. This covers the extra time, supplies, and care needed to ensure your pup leaves feeling fabulous. We’ll always let you know if a re-bath is needed so their are no surprises.

 

Helping Prevent Oppsies: To keep accidents at a minimum, please give your pup a potty break before their appointment.

 

 

 

11. Female Dogs In Heat

We kindly ask that pups in heat not be booked for grooming, as their condition can create challenges, such as increased stress, behavioral changes, or the need for extra cleaning to keep our salon hygienic for other pups. Please wait until your pup’s heat cycle is complete ( typically 2-3 weeks) before scheduling their spa day.

 

If your dog’s heat cycle is not disclosed during scheduling or it is unnoticed by owner, we’ll need to apply an additional $15 fee to cover the extra time, precautions and cleaning required.

 

 

 

12. Double-Coated Pups:

Fluffy Brush Out Fee: Brushing out those lush undercoats costs $60/hour because it’s a big, loving job requiring extra time and care. We’ll chat about the time needed first.

 

Blow-out Fee: Every Double Coated pup required a special blow-out to dry their thick, plush coats, which takes longer than for other pups. This fee is $40 to cover the extra time and ensure your pup’s coat is perfectly fluffed and dried!

 

Tender Tummies: Fluff removal or blow-drying might irritate their skin, especially if knotted. We’ll go slow and gentle, pausing if your pup needs a breather.

 

Dedication to the Coat: Booking appointments every 4-8 weeks help keep the shedding down and knots away!

 

 

13. In Case of Emergencies

If your dog needs urgent medical attention during grooming, we’ll do everything we can to reach you. If we can not get in touch, we’re authorized to seek veterinary care to keep your pet safe, with any costs covered by you. We’ll never hold responsibility for outcomes or expenses from such emergencies, but we’ll act with your dog’s best interest at heart.

 

 

 

14. Payment for Our Services

We’ll discuss grooming fees with you before we start, and payment is due after the service is rendered. Extra care for senior, anxious, matted dogs or fleas may involve an additional fee, which we will explain upfront, but sometimes we don’t notice these conditions until we are grooming them.

 

Card on File: To make things smooth and stress-free, we kindly require all clients to keep a valid credit or debit card on file. This allows us to process any cancellation or no-shows fees promptly, ensuring we can continue to provide the best care for all our furry clients. Your card information is securely stored, and we’ll always notify you before any charges are applied.

 

Deposit: Deposit is required for all NEW clients and any client that has had a previous no-show or last minute cancellation .

 

Credit Card Processing Fee: A fee of 3.5% will be added to all transactions with the use of a debit or credit card

 

Tipping Is Not Required But Deeply Appreciated: Tipping is never expected or require, as our goal is to provide PAWSOME service simply because we adore your pet! However, if you feel your pup’s groomer went above and beyond, a tip is a wonderful way to say “Thank You” and directly supports their wages. Our Team works hard to create a magical experience for your baby, and your generosity helps them shine, too!

 

How Tips Help: Any tips you choose to give go straight to our groomers, helping to reward their skills, patience, and love. Whether it’s a few dollars or a heartfelt note, every gesture means the world to our team and keeps our salon a happy place!

 

Easy Tipping Options: You can add a tip to your payment at check-out (via cash, card, our card-on-file system, or cash app:$FluffyMuttTX) or share it directly with your groomer. We’ll always ensure your kindness reaches the right hands with a smile!

 

 

 

15. Late, Cancellation and No-Show Policy

At Fluffy Mutt, we pour our hearts into preparing for each furry friend’s visit, ensuring our team is ready to provide the love and care your dog deserves. To help us serve all our clients and their pets effectively, we kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation with our cancellation and no-show policy.

 

24-Hour Cancellation Notice: We ask that you notify us at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment if you need to cancel or reschedule. This gives us the chance to offer that time to another pet who needs pampering and helps us plan our day to keep every pup happy.

 

Cancellation/No-Show Fee: If an appointment is canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice or if you miss the appointment (no-show), a fee of 50% of the service cost will be charged to the card on file. We understand that life can be unpredictable, but this fee helps us fairly compensate our dedicated team members, who rely on scheduled appointments to earn their wages, even when a pet doesn’t come in.

 

Late Drop-off Fee: If you are 15+ minutes late to your appointment we automatically charge a $10 fee. This will cover the 15 min plus the extra time for discussing the groom with the client. Being late puts us behind for the rest of the day, forcing all other customers to suffer the consequences. 

 

We truly value your time and trust, just as we value the time and hard work of our team, who are here to make every pet feel loved and special. By agreeing to this policy, you’re helping us create a warm, reliable environment for all the dogs and families we serve.

 

 

 

16. Late Pick-Up Policy:

At Fluffy Mutt we cherish every moment we get to spend with your pup, and we know you’re excited to reunite with them after their spa day! To keep our salon running smoothly and ensure every pet feels calm and cared for, we kindly ask for your help with timely pick-ups.

 

Late Pick-Up Time: we’ll let you know when your pet’s grooming is complete, and we ask that you pick them up within 30 minutes of that notification, unless other arrangements have been made with staff. This helps keep your pup relaxed and gives our team time to pamper the next pet in line.

 

Late Pick-Up Fee: If you’re unable to pick up your pet within the agreed time, a late pick-up fee of $10 per 15 minutes will be charged to the card on file. We understand life can get busy, but this fee helps us compensate our dedicated team, who stay late to ensure your pet is safe and cozy, and covers extra care needed to keep anxious pups calm.

 

 

 

17. Three Strikes Your Out!

To ensure Fluffy Mutt can welcome as many pups as possible and cherish our team’s time, we have a special policy for pet parents with past no-show.

 

Deposit for Previous No-Shows: If you’ve missed an appointment without notifying us at least 24 hours in advance, we’ll kindly ask you for a deposit of 50% of the scheduled service cost to secure your next booking. This deposit will be applied to your pup’s spa day or refunded if you cancel within 24 hours’ notice. It helps us plan our schedule and fairly support our team who are ready to pamper your pet.

 

Three Strikes Your Out: If you have 3 no-shows, we will pause your ability to book future appointments at Fluffy Mutt.To help avoid no-shows, please confirm your appointment 24 hours in advance and let us know if plans change. We’re here to make scheduling easy with reminders and rescheduling options at your fingertips! If you’ve had a no-show, we’ll welcome you with open arms—just bring the deposit and we’ll get your pup wagging again!

 

 

 

18. Appointment Confirmation and Communication

Appointment Confirmations: You agree to confirm your pet’s grooming appointment at-least 24 hours in advance via booking system. This helps us prepare a cozy spot for your pup and ensure our team is ready to shower them with love.

 

Open Communication: Please provide accurate contact information and respond promptly to our calls, texts or emails about your appointment, such as updates on grooming progress or pick-up times. If we can’t reach you, we may need to make decisions in your pets best interest.

 

No-Show Prevention: Failure to confirm or communicate may result in a no-shoe fee, or rescheduling. We understand life gets busy, but your timely responses help keep our salon happy and organized.

 

 

 

19. Respectful Conduct

We take pride that our salon is a a place of love, care and kindness, not just for your adorable pups but for every person who walks through our doors. We appreciate our team and wonderful clients, and we’re committed to fostering a space where everyone feels respected and valued.

 

Expectation of Respectful Behavior: We kindly ask that all interactions with our team, other clients, or pets in our salon be conducted with respect, patience, and kindness. This includes using polite language, maintaining a calm demeanor, and treating our staff and space with courtesy. We believe that a respectful environment allows us to focus on giving your pup the best pampering possible.

 

Zero Tolerance for Disrespectful Behavior: Disrespectful behavior, including but not limited to verbal abuse, harassment, threatening actions, or disruptive conduct will not be tolerated. If such behavior occurs, Fluffy Mutt reserves the right to immediately end current service and refuse future services to the individual involved. We take this step to protect our teams peace and well-being and ensure our salon remains safe.

 

Our Commitment to Respect: We promise to treat you and your pet with the utmost respect in every interaction, from booking to pick-up. Our team is here to listen, answer questions, not judge circumstances, and work with you to make your pups spa day the best day! If we’ve ever missed the mark, please let us know—we’re all about growing and keeping the love flowing!

 

 

 

20. Peace of Mind for Both of Us

By signing this Agreement, you agree to release us from any claims or liabilities related to grooming, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional harm. You also agree to protect us from claims by others related to your dog’s behavior or condition. This helps us focus on giving your dog the love and care they deserve.
